1. Sole Proprietor Declaration & Tax Compliance

  • Individual Provider: I, [Rita Alex Mendonca], hold all professional licenses personally; there is no separate business registration.

  • No Business Entity: This is not a corporate or commercial service—no GSTIN, CIN, or business bank accounts are used.

  • GST Exemption: Under current Indian GST law, service providers with aggregate annual turnover below ₹20 lakh (₹10 lakh in certain states) are exempt from GST registration. I operate below this threshold and therefore do not hold a GSTIN at this time. Should my turnover exceed the statutory limit, I will promptly register for GST and update this policy accordingly.

2. Information I Collect

  • Identity & Contact: Name, age, email, and phone—solely to schedule and conduct sessions.

  • Therapy Details: Voluntary sharing of mental-health history, session notes, and personal goals.

  • Payment Info: Only your personal UPI ID or bank account details (no corporate accounts) to receive session fees.

3. How I Use Your Information

  • One-on-One Support: Tailoring your therapy and treatment plan.

  • Appointment Management: Sending reminders and follow-ups via your chosen private channel.

  • Strict Non-Marketing: I never use your data for promotions, nor do I share, sell, or rent it to anyone.

4. Storage & Protection

  • Digital Records: Stored on my personal computer in encrypted, password-protected files.

  • Physical Records: Locked away in a private cabinet, accessible only by me.

  • Anonymized Insights: Occasionally I review anonymized case notes for professional development—no identifying details remain.

5. Exceptions to Confidentiality

I will only disclose your information if any of the following apply:

  1. Immediate Risk: You’re in danger of harming yourself or others.

  2. Legal Mandate: I am legally required to report (e.g., abuse, court order).

  3. Your Written Consent: You explicitly authorize me to share details with another person or professional.

Whenever possible, I will discuss any required disclosure with you beforehand.

6. Your Rights & Controls

You always retain control over your data. You may:

  • Deletion Requests: Ask me to erase your data, subject only to minimal legal retention obligations.
